<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cNobody knows the trouble I\u2019ve seen.\u00a0 Nobody knows but Jesus.\u201d<\/strong> <\/strong> <\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ~~old African American spiritual<\/strong><\/p>\n Sunday morning church.\u00a0 A few, a hundred, or maybe even thousands of people sitting together in one room\u2014each with a different story to tell and each with a different path traveled.\u00a0 A man sits alone in the back row because he doesn\u2019t want anyone to see the tears appear now and then.\u00a0 A woman sings along with the worship songs, her face luminous with joy.\u00a0 What has brought the man to be downtrodden?\u00a0 What has the woman navigated through to be able to sing with such exultation?<\/p>\n It occurred to me, while sitting in the service one week, that no one<\/em> really knows everything that has happened in my life to bring me to the place where I am.\u00a0 And, in the same way\u2014I don\u2019t know the whole story of that person sitting next to me.\u00a0 It\u2019s so easy to look on the outside of a person\u2019s life and assume so many things\u2014good or bad.\u00a0 We can become judgmental of why people do what they do without having all the facts.\u00a0 Every journey is different.\u00a0 Think about it\u2014no two lives can be compared equally. \u00a0There are just too many variables with backgrounds, personalities, childhood influences, experiences, etc.\u00a0 During His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus was very clear regarding our assessment of other people\u2019s lives:<\/p>\n \u201cDo not judge, or you too will be judged.\u201d\u00a0 (Matthew 7:1, NIV) <\/em><\/p>\n <\/em> <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The comforting thing is that there is Someone who does know the most intimate details of every step of each person\u2019s journey. \u00a0He knows every trial, every struggle, every triumph that has made us into who we are.\u00a0 He has the only complete insight on all that we struggle with and the effort and, sometimes sweat, it takes to accomplish something that may look completely \u201cseamless\u201d on the outside.\u00a0 Not only does He know how<\/em> we got to this place\u2014He knows why<\/em>. \u00a0Sometimes we are reluctant to tell others those intimate details for fear of losing their love or respect.\u00a0 But, we don\u2019t have to worry about that with God. \u00a0He loves us no matter what and more deeply than any person can.<\/p>\n So remember that nobody, except the One who created you, knows all the troubles you\u2019ve seen.
