<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThere is a God who loves me, who wraps me in His arms.<\/em><\/p>\n And, that is the place where I\u2019m changed.\u00a0 And, that\u2019s where I belong. <\/em><\/p>\n Take me to the place, Lord, to that secret place where I can be with You, <\/em><\/p>\n You can make me like You. <\/em><\/p>\n Wrap me in Your arms\u2026\u201d~~ lyrics to \u201cWrap in Me Your Arms\u201d by Michael Gungor<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Don\u2019t you sometimes long for God to take you into His arms?\u00a0 To hold you and make you feel safe?\u00a0 I know I do.\u00a0 When things get tough in the world around me, my heart aches to feel the Lord\u2019s closeness.\u00a0 What a comfort it is to know that no matter what happens, God will never, ever<\/em> leave us\u2014ever!\u00a0 \u201c. . . God has said, \u2018Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.\u2019\u201d\u00a0 (Hebrews 13:5b, NIV)<\/strong> And, He promises to never turn us away when we go to Him. \u00a0\u00a0\u201c. . . .those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.\u201d (Matthew 6:37, NLT) <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong> <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Even though we may know that God is with us, sometimes we just need a person \u201cwith skin on\u201d to physically hold us or to encourage us during our most difficult times.\u00a0 Or, maybe it is us who will be there for someone else who is struggling through challenging circumstances.\u00a0 We tend to look for people who make us feel that, no matter how upside down our world gets, we will stay upright in the midst of everything.<\/p>\n But, people come and go in our lives.\u00a0 Very few will play primary roles for the duration; most will only be part of our lives for a season.\u00a0 It can be difficult to understand why some relationships don\u2019t last.\u00a0 However, the hope we have is that God\u2019s plan for us is bigger and more intricate than our minds can fathom.\u00a0 He knows what and who we need, and then He will bring all things together in His perfect timing.<\/p>\n We can be certain that God won\u2019t let us down\u2014unlike people who may not be there for us when we need them the most\u2014either out of choice or circumstances.\u00a0 We can rest assured that He is not fickle with His love for us.\u00a0 He is God, and what He says He means.\u00a0 \u201cAs the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth.
